Cádiz, Spain – The GENEX EU Project proudly celebrated its second anniversary with a successful annual meeting hosted by Capgemini Engineering on September 18 at their state-of-the-art i2lab facility in Cádiz. This milestone event brought together all project partners to advance the integration of GENEX technologies into a single, groundbreaking digital platform designed to revolutionize the industry.

About 2.5% of the world's CO2 emissions are caused by aerial transport. Even though it might seem a small percentage, it is shooting up and expected to keep rising if we don’t act soon.

The European Commission has called the researchers to solve two big challenges:

March 1, 2024, marked a significant milestone as the GENEX consortium convened its first review meeting amidst the cultural splendor of Brussels, Belgium. With seamless precision, the event concluded successfully, as the reviewer, Hugues Felix, bestowed commendation upon the consortium's unwavering diligence. Inspired by this achievement, the GENEX partners have wholeheartedly immersed themselves in the intricate pursuit of advancing the project's three key innovations.

GENEX consortium had its first annual meeting on September 19 in the German Aerospace Center (DLR) premises in Braunschweig, Germany.

Advancements in the digitalization of
⚙️Efficient manufacturing of recyclable composites
⚙️ In-service monitoring of composite components
⚙️ Repair processes and tools
were presented and fruitful discussions occurred among partners, as a team effort, to address open issues, track potential risks, and schedule the next steps.

The 13th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space for Opening New Horizons" will take place in Salerno, Italy from September 5–8, 2023, and GENEX members are more than excited that will be participating. More specifically, in the frame of this renowned event, GENEX is one of the projects that will be presented in the session on the digitalization of manufacturing, sustainable manufacturing, and MRO that is being hosted by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
